TillBook (“TillBook”, “we”, “us”) is a point-of-sale application for retail businesses. This policy explains what information the TillBook mobile app (net.tillbook.app) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The data controller is Percy Mudzinga (contact: [email protected]).
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account so we can identify you and secure your session. We do not receive your Google password.
- Business records you enter. Sales, totals, products, and related point-of-sale records you create in the app are sent to our backend (api.tillbook.net) so they can be saved to your shop and synced across devices.
- Authentication tokens. Short-lived access and refresh tokens are stored securely on your device (using the operating system’s secure storage) to keep you signed in. They are not shared with anyone.
We do not use third-party advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs, and we do not sell your personal information.
How we use information
- To authenticate you and keep your session secure.
- To record, store, and sync your point-of-sale data to your shop.
- To operate, maintain, and support the service.
How information is shared
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. Data is transmitted to our own backend infrastructure only, to provide the service.
Data security and retention
All data sent between the app and our backend is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We retain your business records for as long as your account or shop is active, or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.
Your choices and data deletion
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable period. You can also sign out of the app at any time, which clears the stored tokens from your device.
Children
TillBook is a business tool intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
